Modify Originating Reservation Tasks & Create New reservation Tasks
Note that almost all reservation tasks are based on arrival and departure dates. Changing these automatically resets tasks dates. Thus, tasks based on arrival and departure dates for the originating reservation are automatically reset when the departure date of the originating reservation is changed.
To ensure that no tasks are lost during the transfer, the system will populate tasks for the transfer reservation and adjust tasks for the originating reservation as follows:
· Task Definitions that end before the transfer date will not be added to the transfer reservation, but will be left on the originating reservation.
· Task Definitions that overlap the transfer date will be copied to the transfer reservation with the first logical start date.
· Task Definitions with specific dates that fall within the arrival and departure dates of the transfer reservation will be removed from the originating reservation and added to the transfer reservation.
· Task Definitions hooked the departure date will be moved to the transfer reservation.
· If a decision is made at a later point to roll back the transfer reservation, all tasks will revert to the reservation immediately preceding it, using the same rules.
Note that tasks are associated with assignee's based on market. If the market for the “transfer to” unit is the same as that of the originating unit (which will most often be the case), the assignee's will transfer along with the tasks. If the market for the new unit is not the same, the assignee's will not be transferred. Either way, it is recommended that users review task definitions for the transfer reservation to make sure they are correctly assigned.
