What Causes a Unit to appear on the Report?
The following reasons would cause a unit to appear on the report:
1. There is no Contract and no Unit Direct Cost.
a. This will continue to show on the report in every period until a contract has been added. Once the contract has been added, the unit will appear based on the contract or direct cost period.
2. There is a Contract and no Unit Direct Cost.
a. The contract must fall within the reporting period.
3. There is a Contract and a Unit Direct Cost that both fall within the reporting period.
4. There is a Contract outside of the reporting period and a Unit Direct Cost within the reporting period.
a. This indicates that one of two things needs to occur; the Contract should be updated to match the Unit Direct Cost or the Unit Direct Cost should be updated to match the Contract.
5. There is a Contract within the reporting period and a Unit Direct Cost outside of the reporting period.
a. This indicates that one of two things needs to occur; the Contract should be updated to match the Unit Direct Cost or the Unit Direct Cost should be updated to match the Contract.
Based on the above criteria, a unit may appear on the report more than once. This would be caused by multiple contracts, and or direct costs in the reporting period.
