Receivable Account (Debit Balance)

All receivable entries are made to this account (invoice, credit, write-off, refunds and payments). The sum of all entries for a single invoice number will equal the invoice balance which is the debit posting to this account.

The balance in this account represents the total for all outstanding invoices. Journal entries to this account will cause problems with the receivable reports and will not post to the tenant ledger.
